Fitchburg Riverfront Park is one of the most prominent symbols of the downtown's revitalization and is a prime example of the City, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the federal government working together to turn blighted property into a major community asset. The Park sits on the site of a former rubber company, a 30,000 square-foot facility on two acres of land on Commercial Street. The building was a major eyesore and was the site of several fires.
Riverfront Park is now a beautiful green space with walking paths, trees, benches and gardens located next to the Nashua River in downtown Fitchburg. Many public events take place yearly and the Park is available for private uses. Thank you to our sponsors, contributors and volunteers for their continued support.
The Park is available for private use. Call 978-345-9602 to reserve it.
