The Fitchburg Economic Development Office (EDO) provides assistance to commercial enterprises interested in doing business in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.  Its goals are to expand the economic base of Fitchburg, facilitate the growth of existing firms, and attract new businesses. The EDO provides technical services such as marketing statistics and assists firms seeking to take advantage of State and local economic development incentive packages. The EDO also serves as a liaison between businesses, the City, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and federal agencies in dealing with such issues as regulation, permitting, export and federal procurement. The Economic Development Office takes a multifaceted approach to economic development and is divided into several departments.
